Family Partners

Establishing safe homes where families stay together.

In partnership with the Alabama Department of Human Resources

Family Partners provides 24/7/365 intensive case management designed to establish safe homes where families stay together. It provides direct and comprehensive services when children are at risk of being removed from the home or to reunify families whose children have been temporarily removed.

A team of family support workers and therapists deliver comprehensive services aimed at decreasing and managing family stressors, including financial problems, limited resources, unemployment, transportation needs, and limited parenting skills. Services are provided in the family’s own environment and ideally, in their own homes.

Benefits

Immediate Crisis Response: We make contact with the family within 48 hours of a referral, or immediately for emergency situations.

Accessibility: We provide 24-hour availability to our families, 7 days a week. The care team works flexible hours in order to accommodate families’ needs and meet with the family on their own schedules.

Intensity: Services are concentrated in a six to nine-month timeframe and are designed to resolve the immediate crisis, teaching skills necessary for family preservation and/or reunification.

Low Caseloads: Care team members carry only six cases at a time, enabling them to be accessible and provide intensive services for each family they serve.

Flexible Responses: Care team members are trained to provide a wide range of services from meeting basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing to more sophisticated therapeutic techniques.

Experienced Care Team: All care team members are Nationally Certified Recovery Coaches.
