Professional Service Providers
We provide trainings throughout the year for professionals who work directly with the youth and families served by CAS. CEUs are often available for social workers, counselors, and therapists.
How We Help
On-demand training library
Our library of free on-demand video training includes resources for adoptive and foster families, as well as information on combatting child trafficking. Each course includes a certificate verifying course completion.
Professionals can earn CEU’s from online training courses for a fee.
On-site trainings and live webinars
We provide on-site trainings through our Child Trafficking Solutions Project (CTSP) and Alabama Pre/Post Adoption Connection (APAC). Alabama DHR employees who attend on-site APAC trainings and live webinars can receive Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) free of charge.
Conferences and networking events
Professionals have additional opportunities to learn and network through our annual Permanency Conference in collaboration with the Alabama Department of Human Resources and seminars provided through our Trained Therapist Network.
Accredited continuing education provider
Children’s Aid Society of Alabama is an approved Continuing Education provider by the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners (Provider #0039) and the National Board of Certified Counselors (Provider #6459).
We also provide Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) in partnership with the Center for Adoption Support and Education. TAC is accredited by the Institute for Credentialing Excellence and is the ONLY accredited certificate program in adoption competency in the country.
